Training that Changes the Way We Practice Law

Child welfare, juvenile justice, and family law may be the most challenging areas in American law. Multiple federal and state laws intersect in high-conflict, emotion-packed environments affecting children and families. How can those responsible for legal training and education ensure that attorneys, judges, and others involved in these cases know and follow the law? How can you bring high-quality, national-level training to your state and still be sure that trainers understand and support local law and practice? How can legal training go beyond knowledge transfer and effect real change in behavior?

For over forty years, the NACC has delivered first-rate legal trainings across the country. We are the only organization approved by the American Bar Association to certify attorneys as Child Welfare Law Specialists. Our curricula are designed by nationally recognized experts, and our experienced trainers employ a variety of teaching modalities including problem-based case studies, small group work, real-time peer review, skills-based breakout sessions, and learner-directed facilitation. Most importantly, we will work with you to custom design a training that meets your needs, in your jurisdiction.

These are not your standard eight-hour lectures with PowerPoint presentations.

Below, you will find additional information on our training programs. You may also be interested in attending our annual conference, where you can learn from leading child welfare, juvenile justice, and family law experts from across the country.
