A Community of Child Welfare Professionals

Welcome to the NACC Community. We’re a community of child welfare, juvenile justice, and family law professionals dedicated to improving the lives of children. While our membership includes children’s attorneys, parents’ attorneys, agency attorneys, and juvenile court judges; it also includes doctors, nurses, therapists, teachers, school administrators, law enforcement officers, social workers, and lay advocates with a specific interest in advancing and protecting the rights of children.

We believe it is important to offer our membership a forum for meaningful discussion around topics in the areas of child welfare, juvenile justice, and family law. Our monthly email law journal includes important child welfare and juvenile justice news, case reviews, policy updates and more. In addition, our email listserv provides an excellent forum for professional dialogue, advice, and feedback.

We offer a variety of training programs to help children’s attorneys and caseworkers provide the best possible services to children and families. Our curricula are designed by nationally recognized experts in child welfare and juvenile justice, and our experienced trainers use a variety of teaching tools and methods. Our NACC Policy page provides a number of resources to help you protect the rights of children through policy advocacy. These include our NACC Policy Agenda, Policy Advocacy Guide, a selection of Standards of Practice documents, and information on how to request NACC assistance, both through the filing of amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs and by helping with other important reform efforts.
