Supreme Court Decision Protects Miranda Rights for Youth

Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that a child’s age must considered by law enforcement in determining whether Miranda warnings must be given to children during police interrogations. The NACC joined the Juvenile Law Center in an amicus curiae brief to the USSC, which was cited by the Court. Congratulations to the Juvenile Law Center for its extensive work on this issue.
