Homeless students often fall through the cracks as they get older, making it increasingly difficult to attend college. In order to receive financial aid, homeless students have to provide documentation of their homelessness each year they are in college. It is often difficult for them to get the right people to confirm their homeless status. And even once these students get into college and have access to financial aid, they often don’t have enough money to cover the cost of housing and food.
