Interrogating Students


Broome Street Academy is a tuition-free institution in New York City where 77 percent of students are classified as economically disadvantaged; 50 percent of the school’s student lottery is set aside for students who are homeless, recently homeless, transitionally housed or in foster care; and 27 percent of students are students with disabilities. However, the most impressive statistic is that 82% of these students go to college.
