Unequal Discipline at Charter Schools [The Atlantic]

A new report published by the Center for Civil Rights Remedies at the University of California, Los Angeles found that black students and students with disabilities are proportionately more likely to be suspended by charter schools than their white and non-disabled classmates. However, while charter school advocates and opponents debate the efficacy of charter schools, the larger and more important point that some schools have seriously questionable discipline practices is being lost in the clamor.
