Amicus Curiae Program

The NACC Amicus Curiae Program promotes the legal interests of children through the filing of amicus curiae (friend of the court) briefs in state and federal appellate courts. The NACC files its own briefs and participates as co-amici in cases of particular importance to the development of law for children. In recent years, the NACC has filed briefs in numerous state appellate courts, federal courts of appeal and The Supreme Court of the United States.
