Supreme Court About To Enter Legal Fight Over Trans Rights And Bathroom Access [Huffington Post]

Transgender Bathroom

 

In April, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit sided with transgender student Gavin Grimm, ruling that federal anti-discrimination law includes protections for trans individuals. The judge ordered Cloucester County Schools to allow Gavin to use the bathroom that aligns with his gender identity. However, on Wednesday, Gloucester County School Board submitted an emergency application to the Supreme Court, asking to have ruling reconsidered.
