A new white paper from Child and Family Research Institute at the University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work details the educational outcomes of foster youth as compared to their peers. Researchers Monica Faulkner, PhD, LMSW; Beth Gerlach, PhD, LCSW; and Catheric LaBrenz draw on resilience theory to present a conceptual framework for structuring policies and practices to promote educational resilience of foster youth.
