Survey Results – LinkedIn Group Revamp

Thank you to everyone who participated in our LinkedIn Group Revamp Survey. Your feedback will guide our efforts to reorganize our LinkedIn Group in order to foster in-depth conversation and generate ideas for putting system change into practice.
We asked survey takers two questions to which they were allowed to provide multiple correct answers:
When asked why they joined the LinkedIn Group – 64.7% of respondents indicated they joined for professional development opportunities, such as practice tips, relevant articles and reports, and hot topic announcements; 51.0% of respondents said they joined for networking opportunities; 35.3% of people said they joined for professional debates and community dialogue; 25.5% said they were not a member of the NACC; 21.6% indicated they joined for employment opportunities; 7.8% provided an alternative reason for joining; and 3.9% joined because they thought it would enhance their own LinkedIn profile.
When asked what their vision for the LinkedIn Group included – 72.5% of respondents said a place to share important articles and new reports impacting our fields of work, 70.6% of respondents said a plethora of practice tips and strategies, 55.0% of respondents envisioned prompts for professional discussions on key issues and differing practices, 52.9% of respondents said a place to ask questions of esteemed colleagues, 45.0% of people envisioned a place to float new ideas and get feedback, 23.5% of people said a they wanted a venue to post career opportunities; and 3.9% of respondents provided an alternative answer to the question.
