All Washington school districts to create truancy boards to keep kids out of court [Seattle Times]

The Washington State Legislature has passed a bill that requires all school districts and juvenile courts to work together to establish community truancy boards by the 2017-2018 school year. These boards bring together educators, court officials, and community experts in order to help families keep students in school and out of juvenile courts.
