February was Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month. During the month, the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ) ran a series of blog posts highlighting important issues affecting youth through dating violence. NACC has been responding to each of these posts with follow-up articles that extend the conversation.

Currey Cook, Esq., Senior Attorney and National Director of the Youth in Out-of-Home Care Project at Lambda Legal, expands on the conversation by examining obstacles facing LGBTQ youth who are victims of teen dating violence and suggesting ways that child advocates and judges can help keep them safe in out-of-home care.
