The “Foster Youth Independence Act of 2015″ has been introduced in Congress, and will help young people by expanding the John H. Chafee Foster Independence Program to age 23 to aged-out foster youth in states that have already expanded eligibility to age 21.

"Foster youth will benefit from the added support of programs designed to prepare them for a successful transition into independence and adulthood. States will also benefit from the flexibility to provide support in the manner that best serves foster youth as they approach the age when they will age out."
