The NACC Red Book Training is a 1-day survey course on Child Welfare Law and Practice. The course follows the NACC publication Child Welfare Law and Practice: Representing Children, Parents, and State Agencies in Abuse, Neglect, and Dependency Cases (Ventrell and Duquette, Bradford Publishing 2005) (the Red Book). It covers the major competency areas of dependency practice and prepares child welfare attorneys for day to day practice.  The course also serves as a preparation course for the NACC Certification exam.
The Texas Supreme Court Permanent Judicial Commission for Children, Youth & Families, and the Court Improvement Project have generously sponsored the Red Book Training, a $200 value.  Registration is free, but does not include a copy of the Red Book.  Attendees are encouraged to purchase a copy of the Red Book prior to the training.  The book can be purchased on the event registration page or from Bradford Publishing at or 1-800-446-2831. NACC members receive a 20% discount.
5.5 hours of CLE credits have been requested.

Red Books ordered as part of a Red Book Training will be available for pickup at the training only.  If you would like it shipped prior, please order from Bradford Publishing.
