About the NACC

Committees

The NACC is governed by a 14 - 23 member Board of Directors. The Board meets twice per year at the NACC mid-year (Spring) and annual (Fall) meetings. The Board is managed by the Executive Committee and is comprised of two standing committees -- Program and Development. In addition to Executive and Standing Committees, the NACC maintains smaller Work Groups to carry out specific committee tasks.

Executive Committee membership is limited to the current officers and past president of the Board. Program, Development and Work Groups are comprised primarily of Board Members but are open to all NACC members upon application.

The Executive Committee is chaired by the Board Chair. The Program Committee and Development Committee are chaired by members of the Executive Committee. Within the Program and Development Committees, members are designated program liaisons. Program Liaisons serve as the Board leader in the program area indicated. Program Liaisons also direct the Work Groups.

The Board Chair and President/CEO serve as ex-officio members of each committee. Committee business is conducted by teleconference and at annual and mid-year meetings. The Executive, Program and Development Committees each meet by telephone once per month.

NACC Committees have authority to act on behalf of the NACC consistently with the purposes of the committee and the organization's mission, objectives, and strategic plan.
