Better Public Policy for Children, Youth, and Families: An Advocacy Guide, is the NACC's comprehensive guide to public policy advocacy for children and families. It was written by NACC Policy Representative Miriam Rollin and is a tool for all advocates, regardless of experience. Designed to facilitate advocacy at the federal level, it is also useful for state and local advocacy.

The guide includes a section on why we should engage in this policy work plus sections on advocacy strategies including phone calls, letter writing, Hill visits, site visits, media work and reaching out to allies. It also includes several useful appendices that provide information on the legislative and spending processes and the rules of lobbying.
